Why St. Sebastian?

The St. Sebastian Review is named for the Catholic saint who has become the unofficial patron saint of queers.

He is also known as the healing saint. We took his name for this reason as well, as this journal exists in hopes of — in some small way — beginning to heal the fractures that have separated queers and the greater Christian community for so long.

Sebastian has a number of other patronages as well, including gardeners, lace makers and diseased cattle. Make of that what you will.
